CriticalADVANTAGE INSURANCE

CriticalADVANTAGE is a relatively new form of insurance that provides a TAX FREE LUMP SUM benefit on diagnosis of a covered medical problem. As an example, you may know or know of, someone who has suffered a heart attack, stroke or has been diagnosed with cancer. That person, if she or he had a critical illness policy, would have received the amount of money specified in the policy.

However, this conventional way of compensating you for the illness you are suffering, has 2 problems; it is not cheap to purchase and most importantly, does not help you get better.

It is common knowledge that the medicare system has a lot of problems including lack of doctors, specialists leaving for Australia, U.S. and elsewhere, long, long waits for important tests and lack of hospital beds.

To answer both these problems, Transamerica Life has introduced CriticalADVANTAGE. Have you ever felt or known that the help you may need is probably outside Canada, but how could you afford to go to the U.S. or England for medical treatment?

Well now you can. With a CriticalADVANTAGE policy, you can choose treatment outside of Canada for up to $1,000,000 in medical expenses plus $10,000 in travel expenses. Everyone who is accepted pays his or her age premium and there is NO MEDICAL EXAM , just some medical questions. Expensive? No, a 40 year old non smoking male will pay $41 a month, significantly cheaper than $900 a month for a conventional critical illness policy.
